There’s really not much of a story to MS, although there’s a three-paragraph intro in the game’s manual that explains about a generic government recruiting base in the South Pacific. You’re a new soldier recruit-you can pick either Walter Ryan or Tyra Nelson as your character. Each is rather scrawny by soldier standards: Ryan’s 5’9” and 172 pounds, while petite Elson is just 5’4” and weighs just 104 pounds. Guess they don’t make big, muscle-bound soldier recruits like they used to, huh?

Pretty much, MSA throws worries about a story out the window and instead concentrates on massive amounts of gunfire, explosions and general mayhem, just what you would expect from its old-school shooter roots. Rocket launchers, shotguns, flamethrowers, and Mech-type slugs give plenty a MSA a high-powered arsenal. Using the slugs gives you the chance to turn the metal table on your enemies by jacking the slugs (planes, tanks, and Mech-style robotic-looking giant man-o-wars) and using them to your advantage in battle. That’s MSA’s great charm: for those looking for a great handheld shooter that packs a major action punch, MSA is a perfect fit. Concentrating solely on shooting everything in sight, MSA provides plenty of shooting action that old-school download game for free gamers will appreciate, including the Big Boss battle at the end of every stage that will test your shooting game skills.

With only five levels to play, there’s not a lot to MSA. But this is not only old-school in its gameplay, it is old-school in its challenge difficulty too. Face it, games including Metal Slug were a lot tougher and more challenging to defeat back in the day, and MSA doesn’t wuss out by lowering the difficulty level for today’s gamer (although there are two difficulty settings to choose, even the “normal” setting is a hellacious challenge). It’s a good thing that MSA is so tough, because there are only a few hours of gameplay necessary to invest to actually get through the entire game, which is okay if you’re only looking for a day’s worth of gaming diversion, but doesn’t endear itself to those looking for a game that has a lot of replay value.

This game will be filled with moral dilemmas, sophisticated combat, and plenty of quests for players to embark on. Hang on to your hats guys!Bioware has stated that the game’s plot will revolve around the fantasy genre, with players having the choice of a number of main characters to start out with when embarking on their journey. Each character comes from a different race, ranging from dwarves to humans to elves. Taking place in the world of Ferelden, players will take on the role of a newly enlisted Warden (a sort of paladin-like defence force), and find their land threatened by a massive orc-like horde referred to as The Blight. The developer has been quiet on details beyond this, but we expect to find out more about the various origin species players can become, and why these orcs want to destroy them.

As in many of Bioware’s past RPGs, players will be presented with a number of moral dilemmas in Dragon Age. These can range from relationship issues, to how to deal with prisoners. While past games by the developer have been a bit more in your face as to how they go about implementing this, here things seem a lot more subtle. The choices come up naturally in conversations, and what a player chooses to do will impact how other NPCs act toward them later on.

Combat will be party-based, with players being able to switch between the various characters in their group to perform specific tasks when necessary, sort of like the full version pc games we play. This has been pretty common to Bioware’s past RPGs, with the twist this time being that the user interface has an almost MMORPG quality to it. Basically, there are a selection of attacks, abilities, spells, and so forth along the bottom of the screen that players can choose from during battle.

Dragon’s Lair 2: Time Warp is a complete grab at nostalgia. The lasting legacy of Dragon’s Lair has been the quicktime event: pressing a series of buttons or directions to make something cinematic happen. Among others, Shenmue did it, God of War does it, and Resident Evil does it. If God of War was only ordered and deliberate button presses, it would be boring – maybe cinematically exciting, but boring. And that mechanic just can’t be separated from Dragon’s Lair. Taking Dirk into a modern sensibility – giving the player complete control over Dirk’s actions – hasn’t worked. A slightly interactive cartoon is what anchors Dirk to the gaming subconscious.

Dragon’s Lair II is packed with great animation and very whimsical themes that make the whole game – all 20 minutes of it (on a perfect play-through) – interesting to watch for the uninitiated or those that lack any nostalgic attachment, unlike the old school full version pc games or even to Dirk the Daring and Daphne. There’s no technique or nuance involved and the threadbare story doesn’t offer much more than an excuse to put Dirk in some interesting environments.

During combat, the animation is top notch, with plenty of environmental effects and cool-looking moves. The character designs are good, especially the larger units like the Frost Dragon. A special mention should also go to the design of the Dark Chaos god. Wow. The audio isn’t so top notch. Although the theme music is suitably stirring, most of the rest of the audio isn’t as good. Of particular annoyance is the announcer that tells you “Player 2 passes turn” (or whatever) when the accompanying text onscreen pretty much explains what just happened. And the “Boom, boom, boom” of each introduction to a battle gets tired pretty quickly as well.

Another downside to Wrath is the frequent load times. Every time you enter or leave combat you’re stuck with a loading screen. The fighting does a good job breaking up the strategic elements, but when you have to watch a loading screen before and after every fight it just further brings down the pacing but it wasn’t enough to deter my overall enjoyment of Wrath.

Fighting fans looking for something a little different might want to give Wrath a look. The turn-based strategy offers quite a bit of challenge but the free full version games & fighting should be just right, with just enough different characters to keep you going. For strategy fans, Wrath should keep you busy for a while (although it remains to be seen what kind of “legs” Wrath will have) and if you’re not so fast on your feet you can also practice the fighting mode.

The games story mode has you playing a wrestler named Suicide, or formally known as Suicide anyway – as in the games intro where you find yourself on top of the TNA Wrestling World, you get taken out and dumped in Mexico with amnesia. Apparently they did quite a number on you, so a couple of plastic surgeons that found you apparently offer to fix you up, which leads into the games create a character mode.

Unfortunately the CAW isn’t up to scratch when compared to the WWE’s or pretty much any CAC mode from any sports game in the past few years, it has a very limited amount of customization you can make, both in terms of cosmetics and attacks which is quite a shame. The game opens up with you wrestling in Mexico to get some scratch and the opportunity to be shipped to the US, which is where TNA takes note of you after winning some fights in an air force base or some such. The wrestling itself is solid, though again there isn’t a large variety of moves you can perform unlike those pc games download, from what I’ve seen.

The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life 2’s Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.

Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.

You never use any actual weapons in the free game downloads, and you never see any other living being. The only time blood will be seen is if you get shot by a turret, which will result in a bit of blood spattering on the walls. All in all, very mild.

Original a 2001, Japan only, arcade release, Ikaruga’s unique twist on top down, 2d shooting is acclaimed as some of the best in it class. Ports also made it to the Dreamcast in 2002 and then to the Gamecube in 2003. Now it is the Xbox Live Arcade’s turn to have its shot, so what is new? Not much really. However this is not a bad thing. Ikaruga’s main mechanic is the ability to reserve the crafts polarity to absorb and fire bullets of the same type. There are two types, black and white, with each type doing an increased amount of damage against the other type. In other terms, black bullets damage white enemies better that white bullets do, and vice versa. Simple in theory, however theory is a traitorous thing and this allows the designs to input some truly devious puzzles to pilot your way through. It also provide a surprising amount of tactics to the game, giving the player the option to go all out offence, whilst dodging all the incoming fire, or absorb and play it defensively. All this is coated with a superb synthetic sound track, creating a truly satisfying experience when you finally kick that boss in the shins.

With the 360 version, the free downloadable games visuals have been cleaned, with a sharper, brighter presentation. The games set pieces now look more stunning, creating that ‘OH, damn!’ from start to finish (or whenever you die.) Online co-op is included for up to two players, however beware: at time of writing, there have been numerous complaints about lag over the Live service. Despite all of this, the real jewel of this version is the replay function. This option allows players to upload replays of there game to Live (similar to Halo 3’s file sharing,) for others to watch and gorp at the players skill, knowledge and manual dexterity.

Anyone that likes shooters should try this one out. Simple mechanics and gameplay combine with a difficulty that punishes and much as it rewards, creates one hell of a shooting experience that needs to be played to be believed.

Early maps involve little more than rescuing civilians from burning buildings, climbing over ledges, moving a few boxes, and opening locked doors with easy-to-find keys. But like any good puzzle game, Exit challenges you to find creative solutions to your problems, and later maps will become labyrinths filled with underwater passages, conveyor belts, pitch-black rooms, and countless other obstacles that will impede your superhero deeds. As difficult as some of the later levels may be, and many will require multiple sessions of trial and error, it never becomes overly frustrating; merely challenging. And once you’ve toughed your way through the game’s initial levels, additional maps can be downloaded that add even more longevity, though for how long it’s uncertain.

Even more than the gameplay, Exit’s visuals exude a unique sense of style. Everything retains a hand-drawn minimalist appearance; sharp edges and bold colors are operative words here. Characters especially, while maintaining 2-dimensionality both literally and figuratively, stand out in their quasi-stick figure silhouettes. In all, Exit provides a pleasing and unique mixture of pc game free download full version visual splendor that has so far rarely been seen on a handheld.

The story takes place in a factory where prototype robots and toasters are being produced-talk about an odd combination! But when military combat routines are accidentally installed into the new robots, it turns them into strategic killers. To save humanity, a factory worked named Myron creates a new batch of robots that have been implanted with the brain scans of retired World War II vets. The setup’s pretty wacky but the gameplay definitely relies on tried-and-true RTS conventions.

The Campaign mode offers 17 unique missions complete with hidden objectives and a reward system for meeting specific criteria. There’s also a good variety to the unit and weapon types, with each robot possessing its own set of skills and armaments. You control the action with a simple point and click interface that’s complimented by an Action Flag system that greatly reduces the difficulty of commanding multiple units but it can be frustrating to search for a specific unit, especially in the heat of battle. Your bots are smart enough to make some decisions on their own but I noticed some free online games download full version questionable behavior every now and again.

I guess the closest thing I can compare Colossus’s gameplay to would be one of the more recent Legend of Zelda games, except all you do is fight bosses. This is a fairly gross oversimplification, but for lack of a better comparison it will have to do. Essentially, the game is broken up into sixteen chapters that each begin with your character riding out on his faithful steed in search of the next tough, brute colossus to viciously slaughter. Each colossus is tracked down by utilizing your magical sword that projects a narrow beam of light when pointed in the direction of the colossus (satellite navigation system, anyone?). You have to fight the colossi in a specific order, as your sword will only point towards the one the game would like you to beat the living crap out of next. Upon encountering your foe you must quickly attempt to discern a weak point and the best manner of attacking said weak point, then do so before you are stomped flat. This usually involves clambering up the colossus’s hairy bits (ewwww!) to get to his head, then stabbing the large glowing sigil until the big guy drops dead. Along with your sword, your only other tool is a longbow that you will occasionally require to tag a colossus from a distance to bring him into position for a sword poke. Obviously in your first few battles this is a fairly simple procedure, while towards the end of the game you have to start concocting some pretty elaborate, ingenious plans to take the colossi out.

The game also utilizes a stamina meter. Whenever your character is clinging somewhere (for dear life or for his climbing pleasure, as the case may be) he starts to lose stamina, and once his stamina is gone he lets go. During boss fights a significant aspect of the battle involves rationing how much time you spend clinging and how much time you spend standing upright and waiting for your stamina meter to refill. This can be tricky, since when you are standing you are more at risk of being hurled off when the boss thrashes about. Needless to say, when clinging to a vertical surface, standing isn’t really an option unless you are into one of those x-treme sports where falling far and hitting your head really hard is considered fun, in which case you are probably playing this game downloads free game in an entirely different manner.
